Darius Marder (screenwriter), Abraham Marder (screenwriter) | Keeping his inner demons devoted to art, metal drummer Ruben has been alive for four years. Then, while touring with his singer / girlfriend Louga, Ruben realizes that his hearing is deteriorating rapidly. When this sudden hearing loss rolls his head and takes over his dull fear of angry denial, Ruben reluctantly promises to join a small deaf community guarded by compassionate Vietnam veteran Joe. Now Ruben needs to find a solid foundation, realize that being deaf is not a disability, and that deafness is not something that can be repaired. But is Ruben ready to accept his new life and learn to be deaf?
